Practice areas and client work
Aliff's area of specialisation includes corporate and commercial transactions, private equity investments, venture capital, joint ventures and domestic and cross border taxation. He is experienced in advising Fortune 500 companies and has also advised extensively on capital markets, intellectual property, e-commerce and employment law. His practice is currently limited to Indian law exclusively.
Previous work
Aliff was a founding partner of a leading Mumbai based law firm for seven years. In 2003, he merged his practice (along with his core team of associates) with ALMT Legal, spear heading and expanding the firm's international corporate law and tax practice.
Publications, Presentations, Recognitions
A gold medallist from Bombay University (LL.B) and holding a master's degree from Cambridge University, Aliff has been appointed as India's representative for the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation, the Netherlands (IBFD). He has authored two books for IBFD, on Transfer Pricing and Taxation of Trusts in India. He is also enrolled as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales.

Beyond the law
Aliff is an avid bridge and scrabble player. Also a keen sports fan, he enjoys spending time with his wife Nazima and two children, on and off the badminton court and swimming pool.
